  • Are your services really free?
    Yes! All of our services are free and provided by student volunteers.
  • Do you provide financial advice?
    The Big Brain Literacy Program does not offer ANY financial advice. Our goal is to simply educate the youth on the basics of financial topics and all the options available to them.
  • Do you collaborate with schools or community organizations?
    Yes, we actively collaborate with schools, youth centers, and community organizations in order to reach as many young individuals as possible. If you represent an organization and are interested in collaborating with us, please reach out via the ''Contact Us'' page.
  • How can I sign up for one of your presentations or services?
    Our "Tools", and "Money Simplified" services are available on our site under the "Resource" page. To sign up or inquire for a literacy presentation, please contact us via the ''Contact Us'' page and let us know the details of your inquiry. From there, one of our team members will reach out to learn more!
  • What do your Literacy Presentations cover?
    Our Literacy Presentations cover topics such as budgeting, positive spending, scam protection, credit scores, various bank accounts and more! Our presentations are also customized to the demographic we are presenting to, and/or any special requests made by our audience. We also offer custom topics if what you're looking for isn't listed.
  • Do you have online presentations available?
    Yes! We can do online presentations via platforms such as Zoom. When submitting a request for a presentation, please let us know whether you'd like an online or in-person presentation.
  • Can you customize your presentation to have [insert] topic that is not listed on your website?
    Yes! We would do our best to integrate any requested topics into our presentation. Please note that we may require additional time in order to prepare a new topic. Please let us know in advance what topic(s) you'd like.
  • How are your presentations and articles verified?
    We verify all our information with faculty from the University of the Fraser Valley and/or via our partnerships with the Chilliwack Literacy Committee and RBC prior to posting and presenting.
